History
The name ATOMS is an acronym for the Association de Techniciens en Optique et Mecanique Scientifique. It was a French manufacturer founded in 1946 in St. Etienne, France. ATOMS produced twin-lens reflex (TLR) cameras and were well-known for manufacturing their own line of "Atos" shutters. Atos shutters were used by other French camera makers like Fex and Lumiére.
