Art Deco Period

The Art Deco era covered the period between the two world wars. It began at the start of the 20s and lasted until the end of the 30s. But all Art Deco designers didn't just disappear in 1940, as if struck down by some plague. In the late 40's, after WWII, many camera makers simply started up again with the pre-war Art Deco designs and therefore continued to produce cameras with features reminiscent of the Art Deco period.

The aim of this website is to provide information about cameras in my collection that exhibit features which relate to the Art Deco period. They will all show some form of Art Deco styling. I don't expect my cameras to be 'shelf sitters' for display only, so I give some information about how they can be used successfully.

Please have a look at the cameras in my collection. You may want to check back later because I am adding to my collection regularly. My Collection
